Live geomagnetic conditions and official NOAA space-weather scales. This page refreshes from NOAA data rather than relying on manually written updates.
Kp is a global measure of geomagnetic activity. Higher values indicate a more disturbed magnetosphere and can increase the chance of aurora at lower latitudes, although cloud cover and darkness still matter for visibility.
Space weather can affect aurora visibility, radio communications, satellite operations, and other technologies. StarStation uses NOAA measurements and official scale data rather than trying to infer solar conditions from social media or unverified reports.
